Your tasks
- Technical Product Manager - technical leadership of Exotic Equity Derivatives and Corporate-Finance support.
- Developing best practices for a successful support team.
- Challenging old, suboptimal support processes. Replacing them with up to date and efficient ones.
- Challenging all manual processes to automate them.
- Optimal use of resources to increase efficiency of service.
- Developing understanding of the business processes. Business analysis tasks possible.
- Ensuring collaboration between different IT teams involved in provision of the systems to the internal customers.
- Stakeholder management (customers, infrastructure providers, vendors, etc), incl. communication with senior management and escalation point for customers.
- Employee skill development, mentorship and succession planning.
- Ensuring a cost effective and efficient support operation, including initiatives to improve the service’ efficiency.
- Supporting business users in resolving queries about the system, raising and managing issues as appropriate
- Pro-active problem solving / root cause analysis with understanding on the consequences on the business.
- Change management and Incident Management tasks of Application Operations.
- Release management tasks of Application Operations (incl. post release testing).
- Vendor management.
Your Profile
- Senior Application Operations Engineer with strong expertise in complex application architectures and infrastructures in a banking environment
- High proficiency in SQL Server 2022, including building complex queries, analysing existing SQL code and correlating data across multiple systems for troubleshooting
- Strong “detective skills” in tracking down issues by relating processes, files and databases intelligently and working autonomously
- Deep knowledge of ITIL-based Service Management processes, ideally using ServiceNow, across incident, problem and change management
- High awareness of IT security principles and practices, experienced in operating business‑critical applications in a highly regulated environment
- Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server 2022 (process management, software installation, scripting, scheduled tasks, file shares)
- Practical skills in scripting (PowerShell, BAT, CMD) to adapt existing scripts and automate recurring operational tasks
- Initial experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud), with strong motivation to deepen skills
- High proficiency in Business Continuity and high‑availability concepts, ensuring resilience of critical systems
- Basic to medium banking know‑how in risk management and Corporate Finance, with readiness to further build domain expertise on the job
- Familiarity with compliance, governance and regulatory requirements in banking IT (audit, segregation of duties and related controls).
- Experience with financial markets trading (personal or professional), practical use of AI tools and participation in cloud migration initiatives are highly appreciated.
