Your tasks
The purpose of the Head of Branch is to assure sustainable operations of all units in the location, fulfill regulatory requirements in the country and play a role of single point of contact as well as local advisor to all line functions. The Head of Branch is responsible for overseeing all operations, business activities, and strategic initiatives at the foreign branch. This leadership role involves driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, managing cross-border challenges, and aligning the branch's performance with the organization's global goals. The Head of Branch acts as the primary representative of the company in the branch location and maintains close relationships with regional and headquarters teams, customers, and partners.
On top of that Head of Branch may act as DTC Head i.e. overarching local manager across all clusters, single point of contact and advisor for GS-DTS and the Delivery Organization.
Key Responsibilities
As Head of Branch:
Strategic Leadership: Drive the branch's digital transformation, aligning strategic plans with corporate goals to enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Pursue new business opportunities while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and strategic priorities.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the branch's day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, process efficiency, and alignment with company standards and industry best practices. Monitor performance metrics, optimize operations, and lead initiatives to enhance infrastructure, processes, and overall branch functionality.
Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations, legal standards, and data protection protocols while identifying and mitigating risks associated with digital projects and IT operations. Act as the primary point of contact for local partners, suppliers, and regulators.
Manage Talents: Develop a diverse team of IT professionals and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Lead, mentor and manage the branch staff, ensuring strong, motivated and result-focused team. Implement development programs to enhance staff skills and support career growth.
Cost Control: Manage DTC costs and allocations, ensuring activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with audit and risk standards. Report on the branch financial and operational status of the senior leadership team.
Market Expertise: Provide insights into local market trends, regulations, and employment conditions, advising leaders on navigating these peculiarities effectively.
As Head of DTC:
Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the DTC, clusters, and stakeholders to align digital solutions with business strategies. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Stakeholder management: Act as point of contact for clusters and key area offices to proactively drive their DTC-related activities, including FTE-planning.
Operational Excellence: Ensure consistency across the various clusters within the location. Facilitate the sharing of best practices across chapters and contribute to the implementation of standardized processes and best practices in all DTCs.
Your profile
Education: Degree level education preferably in Business Administration, Management or Computer Science.
Experience:
- Proven track record of experience in leadership roles with ability to lead diverse teams, drive innovation, and effectively organize operations.
- Proven track record of driving growth and overseeing operations in international environments.
- Experience in developing and managing budgets and financial planning.
Leadership: Strong ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team across diverse departments.
Analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate and solve business challenges using technology.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to shape long-term plans and adapt to market trends and challenges.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including cross-cultural engagement.
Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work in cross-cultural environments and understand regional nuances.
Adaptability: Agile and adaptable to changing market conditions and organizational priorities.
Languages: fluent in English, Polish and German is an advantage.
