Welcome to the team: Application Operations Engineer with focus on workload automation (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks
- Designing, maintaining and optimizing jobs, job schedules and automated workflows to support data processing and system integrations in the SAP-HR environment.
- Monitoring automated workflows, including fault detection, incident handling, restarts and troubleshooting
- Documenting automated processes and workflows.
- Identifying and implementing automation improvements to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
- Monitoring infrastructure and applications as well as interfaces and being available for on-call duty.
- Execution and review of monthly payroll processing including upstream and downstream activities.
- Responsible for data exchange and managing partner connections with Sterling File Gateway.
- Handling of reporting and certification processes.
- Creating regulatory documentation, such as operational and security concepts.
Your profile
- University degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Previous experience as a DevOps, Technical Product Manager or in an IT support role.
- Deep knowledge of a workload automation tool like Automic/UC4 incl. script programming
- Professional experience in payroll accounting within SAP-HCM
- Ideally, knowledge of the EC Payroll Control Center as the workload automation tool within SuccessFactors.
- Unix/Linux Knowledge incl. Shell Scripting
- Experience with Agile software development and Scrum methodologies
- Strong customer orientation and ownership of responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner with a high degree of personal responsibility
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Enjoy continuous learning, even in complex situations
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Understanding German would be helpful

As an Engineer Operations with a focus on workload automation, you are the first contact person for topics regarding job scheduling and processing in our HR department. In addition to the automation of IT processes, the job also includes the operation of payroll system e.g. by handling of outages in production as well as technical changes and ensuring regulatory compliance.
