Welcome to the team: Loan Portfolio Management Intern (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks
Support senior members of the Loan Portfolio Management team in managing Lending’s International corporate loan book.
This comprises primarily steering of new transactions based on profitability and concentration analysis, portfolio capital management, portfolio risk management, identification, and implementation of selected measures (insurance, CDS, secondary sales, securitisations). This also requires various portfolio and transaction analyses as and when required.
This role will initially be a 3-6 month Internship with potential to transition onto the Graduate Scheme subject to performance and avaliability.
Key activities
- Profitability analysis of corporate loan transactions
- Credit reviews of corporate clients
- Analysis of portfolio concentrations
- Review of transactions’ capital consumption and optimization measures
- Analysis on sectors, regional markets and market trends to inform corporate loan portfolio strategy
- On-going monitoring of corporate credit profile to identify potential risks
- Coordination with credit officers, relationship managers, product teams and Finance and Compliance departments
Key requirements
- Recently graduated within the last 12 months;
- Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, Physics or Maths background is preferred
- Expected to or have achieved a minimum 2.1 UK bachelors degree (or equivalent)
- Previous relevant internships are desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially excel and word)
- Some business knowledge or previous internships within Financial Services but not essential
- Team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent English
