Data and Cloud Platform Engineer (m/f/diverse)

• Experience with cloud-based platforms - GCP, Azure and their data services - GCP (Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Kubernetes /GKE, Dataproc, Dataflow) or Microsoft Azure (Synapse, Fabric, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Stream Analytics; 
• Proficiency with data processing frameworks and tools (Spark, Kafka, Airflow) 
• Programming skills in one of the following languages - Python, Java or Scala;
• Working experience with CICD, Kubernetess, Terraform;
• Good analytic thinking with attention to details to solve problems
• Team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams 
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken;
• University degree in IT or releant.

The Big Data Cluster Team is at the cutting edge of creating the essential infrastructure needed for artificial intelligence at Commerzbank. By enabling data scientists, analysts and developers, the team offers a wide range of data resources, such as data warehouses, data platforms, visualization platforms, and an all-encompassing data science platform—all in a single location.

As a Data and Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing Commerzbank’s cutting-edge data layer platform. Your primary responsibilities will encompass cloud-based data platform engineering. You will mentor team members on technical concepts and implement best practices for our cloud-based data ingestion, transformation and database solutions. Additionally, you will work within the Big Data Cluster to investigate, prepare, and migrate products from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-native environments using platforms like GCP and Azure.
