Your tasks
- Leading and developing a team of application development and test engineers based in Sofia;
- Recruiting, onboarding and continuously expanding the team in line with business needs;
- Leading, shaping and continuously improving the agile team setup and ways of working;
- Evaluating, implementing and maintaining functional requirements in banking and brokerage;
- Coordinating the team’s contribution to the operational stability, resilience and quality of comdirect systems;
- Designing digital processes, systems and solutions for complex technical requirements;
- Contributing to architectural designs and the strategic development of systems;
- Providing product owners with the required qualitative and quantitative capabilities to achieve their goals;
- Developing chapter strategies, standards, skills and knowledge together with the team;
- Promoting employees’ professional development through knowledge sharing, best practices and continuous learning;
- Facilitating ongoing exchange and effective collaboration between cells and chapters;
- Ensuring smooth cooperation across interfaces and sharing expertise in a targeted manner;
- Advancing the alignment of approaches, skills and toolsets across the comdirect and Commerzbank brands.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams of engineers, business analysts and application operators;
- Strong expertise in installing, maintaining and operating complex, customer-critical systems;
- Sound understanding of Scrum ceremonies, agile methodologies, task distribution, reporting, risk management and delivery planning;
- Knowledge of the use and application of AI in software development;
- Experience in designing technical architectures for solutions addressing complex business requirements;
- Ability to evaluate, implement and maintain requirements while effectively supporting teams and stakeholders in delivering solutions;
- Competence in coordinating solution readiness, completeness and acceptance testing, documenting progress, open tasks and release documentation, and planning releases, rollouts and hypercare periods.

As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Chapter Lead in our Products team.
As a Chapter Lead, you are responsible for the disciplinary management of the chapter’s staff working on application development and test as primary focus within the brand of comdirect.
The team will consist of engineers (development and test) in the technical ecosystems of Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST, SQL (Oracle), as well as development and collaboration tools as the need for such skillset arises.
