Investment & Transaction Banking
Responsible for market making activities across the asset classes in CHF bonds. Managing of the risk in the CHF portfolio, hedging, working together with sales to recycle the risk, identify trading opportunity and actively co-operator with Syndicate and Sales to promote Commerzbank CHF business both domestic and international. Integrated part of the Bonds Value Chain fully aligned with overall business objectives.
Your tasks
- Trading and market making CHF bonds across asset classes.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, trade idea generation, active engagement with clients together with sales desk.
- Generation of trading ideas, axes and strategies to promote CHF business and generate PL in line with budget.
- Reporting of P/L and risk limits for CHF bond trading.
- Close cooperation with origination, syndicate and global sales teams across asset classes and jurisdictions.
- Taking care of internal and external regulations to ensure CHF bond trading business is compliant.
Specific job definition
- Proactively co-operate with Sales desk to win more CHF bond secondary business, co-operate with syndicate desk in order to win more primary CHF mandates (reverse inquiries , market demand etc)
- Responsible and accountable for managing the secondary trading book with regards to mark-to-market positions, P/L and Risk in full compliance with the given risk parameters.
- A proven track record of trading CHF bonds or comparable fixed income products.
- Excellent technical skills with respect to risk management and understanding of different trading and hedging strategies.
- Ensure appropriate procedures are implemented.
- Support and develop ongoing digitization for internal processes and delivery to clients.
Your Profile
- Superior knowledge of specific area of responsibility , at least 3y of proven market experience in a similar role in the Swiss market
- Deep knowledge of the global and local regulatory environment and of debt instruments
- Strong communication, leadership, entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills
- Professional authority in the market and within the company
- Fluency in English; German to a high level; other European languages are positive attributes.
- Full proficiency in MS-Office and Bloomberg, and generally IT- acute
- Ability to take responsibility for one’s work, work to a deadline and take initiative.
- Willingness to travel
