Application Operations Engineer (MFT) (m/f/diverse)

    Your tasks

    • Building and maintaining the organization’s Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform ensuring high availability and adherence to security standards;
    • Overseeing installations, configurations, upgrades and patches for MFT systems;
    • Proactively monitoring file transfer jobs/processes for efficiency and potential failures. Troubleshooting errors and resolving incidents in a timely manner, adhering to the strategic direction of the company;
    • Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating root causes of system and transfer issues;
    • Providing level 1 and 2 support for projects and implemented applications;
    • Administrating our software and servers in the Unix and Windows environment and databases with SQL;
    • Assisting with capacity planning to ensure application is scaled to meet current and projected capacities;
    • Providing technical guidance and coordinating cross-functional team efforts to support new projects or workflows;
    • Being part of the on-call team that is responsible for the 24/7 operations of the products;
    • Writing scripts for maintaining and monitoring the file transfer platform;
    • Working closely with the other members of your team in an agile environment and support them in all operational issues.

    Your Profile

    • Experience working with managed file transfer protocols like SFTP. Experience with products like IBM Sterling File Gateway would be considered as an advantage;
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Python, Bash) for automation;
    • Solid experience with Linux/Unix scripting;
    • Strong experience with Windows Server Administration;
    • Familiar with MS SQL Server on Windows;
    • Experience with monitoring tools – Dynatrace, Elastic Stack, Tivoli;
    • Good team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams;
    • University degree in IT or relevant.

We have built a team to provide a robust, point-to-point file-based integration platform designed for high-volume, secure data exchange within and between enterprises.
