In Open Banking Services, we are responsible for digital banking’s 3rd channel - our PSD2 API provisions standardized and reliable API to payment accounts and makes it possible to identify third-party payment service providers in a secure way and secures all related communication between all parties involved, providing third parties with account information services and payment functionality. Together with that, we have our backlog packed with many other interesting future use cases.
As Product Owner (PO) you have the end-to-end responsibility for the IT product (system) in your cell. This includes running it (operation), evolving it (development) and all related regulatory topics (administration). The PO makes necessary decisions for his/her product, assumes responsibility for its success and thus ensures product quality together with the development and operation team. Our team is based in Prague.
Your tasks
- Develop the product vision, the product road map, and work rigorously towards it.
- Maintain a product backlog of epics and stories, following the above vision.
- Provide the team with the information and support they need to organize themselves.
- Work closely with the internal stakeholders not just to deliver their requirements, but to understand their business processes to be able to offer alternative solutions.
- Act decisively in the interest of the product whilst considering sometimes competing needs of the stakeholders and aspects such as technical debt.
- Meet all the regulatory, compliance and audit requirements on time.
- Be involved in incident, request, change and problem management.
- Investigate production issues together with business experts and operations.
- Act cross-functionally between stakeholders, business experts and operations and facilitate the communication between all of them.
- Drive continuous efficiency optimization with the team.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering or related field.
- Business/banking knowledge and understanding of Open banking, PSD2 and related IT & business processes.
- Project coordination with the ability to understand the needs of the end-users and stake holders.
- Familiarity with APIs (creating OpenAPI specification) and SQL.
- Strong collaboration skills with a focus on incremental delivery.
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, systematic approach.
- Effective facilitation skills, ability to facilitate group discussions & meetings with various teams within and outside the bank.
- Natural leader with the drive to be successful together with the team.
- Result orientated to meet agreed timelines, often driven by external requirements.
- Hands-on attitude, proactive and open communication.
- Strong communication skills, written and spoken, in both English and German.
