With our strategy upgrade Momentum, we are further developing the organizational structure and operating model within ICT Risk & Resilience Management with a forward-looking approach. Our aim is to embed regulatory requirements, bank-wide steering, and effective governance in a clear and high-performing target operating model.

As Team Head of ICT Validation, you will take on a key leadership role in building and further developing an independent validation function for ICT controls within the 2nd Line of Defence.

If you are keen to strategically build independent control validation, further develop testing methodologies, and make a meaningful contribution with your team to strengthening digital operational resilience, we look forward to receiving your application.

Your tasks

  • You will strategically and organizationally build ICT Validation as an independent 2nd-line function for the validation of ICT controls.
  • You will lead an experienced team and be responsible for the planning, prioritization, and execution of design and operating effectiveness reviews across relevant ICT domains.
  • You will continuously further develop validation methodology, test plans, assessment criteria, and quality assurance standards for control validation.
  • You will assess test results, derive weaknesses, findings, and action requirements, and ensure reporting tailored to management and relevant governance functions.
  • In doing so, you will take into account regulatory requirements, the current threat landscape, internal bank developments, and the continued enhancement of the bank-wide ICT control framework.

Your Profile

  • You have completed a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification in an IT-, security-, or risk-related field.
  • You have several years of experience in the audit, validation, or assessment of ICT controls, ideally in a regulatory or banking supervisory environment.
  • You bring sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, control frameworks, and testing methodologies, for example with regard to DORA, information security, or internal control systems.
  • You already have experience in leading teams or projects and know how to combine professional excellence with clear steering and prioritization.
  • You work in a structured and analytical way, with a high standard of quality, and are able to prepare complex matters in a concise and audience-appropriate manner.
  • Communicating and documenting work results in both German and English comes naturally to you.
  • Additional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO/IEC 27001, or comparable certifications are an advantage.
  • You are characterized by a confident manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to actively shape change in a dynamic environment.

The company

Group ICT Risk & Resilience Management (GRM-ICT RRM) is responsible, within the 2nd Line of Defence, for steering and further developing the bank-wide ICT risk management framework and digital operational resilience. The function sets the framework for dealing with ICT, information security and cyber risks and supports the sustainable implementation of regulatory requirements, in particular in the context of DORA.

ICT Enablement & Compliance makes a significant contribution by translating regulatory and business requirements into effective awareness, advisory, controls and third party risk management processes. In this way, risk-oriented and compliant behaviour is strengthened across the bank, responsibilities are clearly embedded, and the organisation is effectively supported in sustainably implementing requirements.
