Your tasks
What you will do
– Own the release train. Plan and orchestrate connected releases across the teams as one: a common release calendar, cross-team dependency management, cut-offs, readiness checks and go/no-go together with application operations.
– Align the Product Owners. Facilitate one ongoing roadmap conversation instead of several parallel ones, so priorities, dependencies and release scope are agreed before they collide in a release – and so team efforts stay aligned with business goals, not just with process.
– Be the voice between the teams. Act as the connective tissue between our cross functional teams – translating in both directions, making sure information doesn't die at team boundaries, and stepping in where smaller teams would otherwise drift apart.
– Keep a pulse on the teams. Know at any point whether people are happy, whether everyone knows what to do, and whether the teams are delivering. When delivery stalls, find where the issue sits – communication, setup, dependencies, skills – and coach the team through it rather than just reporting it.
– Measure what matters. Bring an analytical mind to metrics: work out with the teams what is genuinely worth measuring, use it to improve how we work together, and push back on vanity numbers – velocity worship and status-report theatre included.
– Deliver value, not ceremonies. Treat agile as a toolbox, not a religion. Question rituals that no longer earn their time, remove obstacles instead of creating new ones, challenge the status quo, and keep experimenting with our ways of working as the organization evolves.
– Spread knowledge and best practices. Make sure practices, product knowledge and business understanding travel across teams – and so everyone understands not just their task, but the vision it serves and whether we are actually following it.
Your Profile
What we are looking for
– A technical background. You have worked close enough to software delivery and IT infrastructure to hold your own in a technical discussion with developers and operations – you don't need to code, but you must not need things translated.
– Senior, multi-team experience. You have led teams and worked in environments more complex than a single team – as a release train engineer, release manager, senior Scrum Master or agile coach across several teams, or in a comparable delivery-lead role.
– A structured, analytical approach. You bring order to moving parts: you can design a release process, decide what to measure and what to ignore, and turn a vague 'something is off in this team' into a concrete, addressable cause.
– Strong facilitation and communication. You can run a room of Product Owners with competing priorities, disagree constructively with senior stakeholders, and coach individuals and teams without taking the work away from them.
– A pragmatic agile mindset. You know the frameworks well enough to depart from them deliberately. What you optimize for is flow of value and a team that works well together – not framework compliance.
– Comfort with ambiguity. Our structure will keep changing as our requirements do. You can operate, and keep others steady, while the organization around you is transforming.
– Nice to have: Experience in banking or another regulated industry; exposure to financial risk (market risk, liquidity risk); experience with scaled-agile setups (e.g. SAFe)
