Your tasks
- Building and leading a team of Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects based in Sofia, reporting directly to the cluster lead in Frankfurt, Germany;
- Owning of recruiting, onboarding, and fostering the professional growth of your team members, ensuring they remain motivated and equipped to excel in their roles;
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to your chapter members, supporting their work in cross-functional teams while promoting continuous knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices within your chapter and with other chapters;
- You champion the adoption of state-of-the-art tools, with a particular focus on integrating AI-based tools into the Software Development Lifecycle to enhance productivity and innovation;
- In addition to your leadership duties, you actively contributing as a team member in one of the cluster’s cross-functional teams, applying your expertise as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Architect.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in leading and developing a team of different skills – recruiting and retaining employees, guiding them in their daily work in the teams, and ensuring their professional development. Several years work experience in similar responsibility or equivalent practical experience in product and application management;
- Deep expertise and extensive experience with software development on native cloud, making use of state-of-the-art cloud technologies;
- Strong experience in and knowledge of development of software products in Python, including the main state-of-the-art frameworks and technologies;
- Good knowledge of AI techniques, including agentic AI and applications of AI in the Software development Lifecycle;
- Experience in leading and participating in scrum ceremonies;
- Experience with implementing CI/CD practices and use related tools for automated deployment and testing;
- Proactive and self-organized working habit. Strong interest in collaboration in an agile setup and with cross-functional, distributed teams;
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, coordinate, and build relationships across diverse international teams and locations;
- Committed to understanding stakeholder needs and delivering impactful solutions that align with business priorities;
- Inspired driver of change, thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments and ensuring teams adapt and grow with new challenges and technologies;
- Sharp analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset to address complex challenges and drive informed decision-making;
- University degree in IT or relevant;
- Open for occasional business trips to Germany and Lodz – especially at the beginning of your tenure;
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken. German language would be considered as an advantage.

As Chapter Lead, you will take on a leadership role, responsible for a team of cloud engineers and architects in Sofia within the AI Solutions & Data Insights cluster. You will have disciplinary responsibility for your chapter, ensuring it aligns with the cluster's agile approach and supports the achievement of product owners' goals by providing the necessary skills and capacity for cross-functional teams. These teams consist of cloud engineers, data scientists, and business experts working collaboratively to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Your chapter’s focus is cloud technology (GCP and MS Azure), with Python as the primary programming language. Beyond your leadership responsibilities, you will actively contribute your expertise as an experienced Cloud Engineer or Cloud Architect, providing technical guidance and mentorship to your team members while staying up-to-date on emerging tools, methods, and trends in cloud engineering and software development.
