We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Cyber Security Engineer who will serve as a deep subject matter expert and hands-on contributor for our ServiceNow Security Operations platform. In this pivotal senior role, you will be instrumental in the comprehensive implementation, administration, and continuous optimization of ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), Configuration Compliance (CC), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) modules, actively driving new requirements and leveraging the platform for maximum security value.
Your tasks
- Managing, configuring and enhancing the ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) modules: Vulnerability Response (VR), Security Incident Response (SIR), Configuration Compliance (CC), Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Gathering business requirements and translating them into ServiceNow SecOps solutions.
- Designing and improving Workflows, automation, integrations, and reporting.
- Integrating security tools and data sources with ServiceNow.
- Supporting upgrades, releases, and continuous platform improvements.
- Using CMDB data to support vulnerability management, security investigations, and compliance processes.
- Collaborating with CMDB, Asset Management, and Platform teams to ensure accurate CI and ownership data.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge articles.
Your Profile
- 4+ years of experience as ServiceNow administrator or developer with a focus on Security Operations (SecOps).
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following modules: Vulnerability Response (VR), Security Incident Response (SIR), Configuration Compliance (CC), Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Good understanding of Cyber Security, including vulnerability management, security incident response, threat detection, compliance, and operational security processes.
- An advantage would be gained experience working with security technologies such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint security, cloud security, or threat intelligence solutions.
- Experience configuring workflows, automations, integrations, and reporting in ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting, automation, and integrations.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and ServiceNow integration concepts.
- Good understanding of CMDB concepts, Configuration Items (CIs), CI relationships, and service ownership.
- Experience using CMDB data within Security Operations, ITSM, Asset Management, or Vulnerability Management processes.
- Understanding of ITIL and ITSM best practices.
- Collaborative, strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant ServiceNow certifications such as CIS-SIR, CIS-VR, CSA, CAD, or CIS-ITSM are an advantage.
- Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Strong written and spoken English.
