Welcome to the team: Network Security Engineer (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Being responsible for administration of the Microsegmentation software “Guardicore”;
- Evaluating and configuring policies requests;
- Advising customers on how to secure their applications;
- Setting up and troubleshooting Traffic-flows with Guardicore;
- Organizing Software-Maintenance and Agent-Rollouts with vendor and Server-Admins;
- Helping to keep the internal Guardicore documentation and NMS documentation for responsible areas up-to-date;
- Handling Requests, Incidents, Changes and Problems;
- Working on internal and external audits;
- Providing 2nd level support for Frankfurt Datacenter and international datacenters and branches;
- Supporting and coordinating various network-security projects.
Your Profile
- Professional experience with network security services – firewalls, VPNs, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of network security fundamentals and concepts – firewall services, DDOS, WAF, Microsegmentation;
- Experience with configuration and operation of firewalls (preferably FortiGate) – on-prem and cloud;
- Knowledge in IPSec/SSL VPN;
- Ability to organize and coordinate complex rollout of agent instances across a complex infrastructure;
- Good understanding of the technical aspects relevant to Network (LAN, WLAN, WAN, AAA, NAC, etc.);
- Experience with various tools such as Wireshark and other network analyzers
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
- University degree in IT or relevant.
