Welcome to the team: Technical Business Analyst (Kafka) (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Understanding and analysing business requirements, define and design appropriate functional solutions;
- Doing analysis, technical and functional solution design, implementation of new functions, modules or interfaces of applications. For this the role requires a combination of process skill and a good understanding of technology;
- Consulting business as well as IT experts on functional concepts of the application and on business process or workflow optimization, developing and communicating solutions and concepts within teams involved (located in Lodz (Pl) and Frankfurt (D));
- Defining functional test scenarios as well as quality assurance measures. In that context also supporting and coordinating test-activities;
- In case of incidents or issues, analysing and designing solutions of the problems in close collaboration with other involved teams;
- Being one of the experts within your scrum team for all aspects of functional and business analysis aspects for the new Kafka products and applications (design, build and run);
- Conceptional tasks around functional solutions, data and interface architecture.
Your profile
- Solid knowledge to understand and analyse business requirements (actual/target). Gathering and documentation of business requirements and design / development of functional solution / function IT concept;
- Very good knowledge in understanding and advising business as well as IT regarding best technical / functional solution or set-up of the application;
- Knowledge about the way of working of event streaming platforms;
- Experience in API development / API concepts would be considered as an advantage;
- High interest and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new requirements and gather – per case – the needed technical understanding;
- Good knowledge about methods of agile software development;
- Very good communication and presentation skills;
- University degree in IT or relevant.

Business Connectivity Cluster accelerates the transformation of Commerzbank into a digital technology company by developing and promoting internal and external APIs, Kafka technology, DLT that are an integral part of our digital infrastructure, positioning Commerzbank in the German market as the first port of call for simple and innovative customer solutions. We built up a team for providing (Apache) Kafka as a platform in the bank. This enables us to facilitate event streaming use cases and increase the bank’s real time capability.
