Senior Backend Developer (Business Connectivity) (m/f/diverse)

• Strong knowledge about integration patterns, resilient API development and build tools e.g. Maven;
• Strong knowledge in TeamCity and implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions (e.g., Terraform, Helm);
• Strong knowledge in API Gateway or API Management Platforms;
• Good knowledge in OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and API Security principles;
• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud and/or Azure;
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications;
• Prior engagement within regulated or large enterprise environments;
• Familiarity with the Apigee platform;
• Familiarity with Cassandra database.
• University degree in IT or relevant.

The Business Connectivity Cluster drives Commerzbank's transformation into a digital technology leader by developing and advancing essential integration technologies, including APIs, TokenManager, Kafka, MFT, and MCP. These tools form the backbone of our digital infrastructure, enabling innovative and seamless customer solutions in the German market.

Join us to build and operate a brand-new, cloud-native API management platform at the heart of our digital transformation. In this role, you’ll shape and enhance our Apigee-based API gateway, connect multiple clouds, and help lay the technical foundation that will also facilitate secure and scalable AI communication.
