Your tasks
- The Bond Trading team is instrumental for risk transformation within Commerzbank and closely aligns with the other Bonds’ key stakeholders, i.e. Syndicate, Origination and Sales.
- Trading is the risk/flow processing arm for both the primary and the secondary businesses.
- From the Primary side point of view our trading activities are aligned to the objectives set in line with servicing bond issuers as clients of our business and from the secondary side trading works closely with distribution and sales to fulfill objectives set to the business from the investors point of view.
- Trading is processing risk coming from different parts of the business, but overall activity is driven by a client centric approach across all asset classes.
Your profile
- Strong and long-time Trading experience in EURO Sovereigns, Supras and Agency Bonds including running own trading book and generating profits
- Further experience in trading European government bonds is desirable
- Professional experience in managing Primary Dealerships for European Sovereigns, along with additional stakeholders in Syndicate and Debt Capital Markets (DCM)
- A proven track record of market-making in European government and/or SSA bonds or comparable fixed income products
- Admission to trading on the EUREX Exchange
- Excellent technical skills with respect to risk management and understanding of different trading and hedging strategies
- Professional authority in the market and within the company
- Ability to work and make decisions under pressure
- Team oriented
- IT acute, capacity to initiate and support ongoing digitization efforts of the desk , including algorithmic trading, hedging etc.
- Fluent in English, German and further European languages will be added positive attributes
- Strong communication, leadership, entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills
