Your tasks
- Acting as a key role within the audit team, taking responsibility for the successful execution of Credit audits in Germany and across our international branches worldwide;
- Analyzing and evaluating business processes, products, and projects of the Credit area with a particular focus on risks, assessing their design appropriateness and operating effectiveness;
- Evaluating compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements;
- Identifying risks, assess their significance, and develop actionable recommendations in collaboration with our clients;
- Summarizing findings in concise and meaningful audit reports for the board and supervisory authorities;
- Driving the development of our audit methodologies and actively enhance digitalization in the audit process;
- Collaborating closely with the units responsible for implementing measures, you will support the acceptance of Group Audit as a trusted and competent partner within the bank.
Your profile
- Several years of successful experience in auditing a financial institution or an auditing firm and/or practical experience in risk management ;
- Deep understanding of the principles and methods of credit risk management, including the assessment of creditworthiness and risk evaluation;
- Experience dealing with legal and regulatory requirements;
- Deep knowledge of relevant German, European and international laws, regulations, and standards that pertain to lending and monitoring (e.g., Banking Act (KWG), EBA Guidelines on Asset Management (EBALoaM));
- Ethical behavior and integrity are non-negotiable in auditing. Candidates must demonstrate honesty, accountability, and a strong moral compass, ensuring all activities are conducted with the highest standards of professionalism and compliance;
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities are crucial. The candidate should be able to clearly articulate audit findings, engage in productive discussions with stakeholders, and present reports concisely. Effective communication ensures transparency and fosters strong relationships within the organization;
- Precision and accuracy are paramount in auditing. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of an audit is meticulously checked and reported, minimizing errors and maintaining high-quality standards;
- Fluency in English and German – both written and spoken.
