Your tasks

  • your role will be mainly helping with the The Market Conformity Control (MCC) processes performed by our department - MCC is required by the “German Minimum Requirements on Risk Management” (MaRisk) with the aim to ensure that Commerzbank does not enter any OTC trade accepting or proposing pricing not conform with the prevailing market conditions. In its function the MCC controls for potential fraud, human error, deficits in infrastructure and ensures that all executed transactions are in line with market conditions
  • perform daily market conformity checks ensuring timely delivery of results according to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • analyse, validate, document trades considered not in-line with market conditions and escalate identified breaches of tolerance levels to the management
  • investigate irregularities in cooperation with colleagues, Front Office, Settlement, Risk Controlling and Finance
  • ensure completeness and compliance with procedures /policies of the related day to day processes

Your profile

  • University student at Master´s level of studies (completed Bc.) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related area
  • knowledge of basic financial instruments and their valuation principles is a must
  • strong interest in financial instruments
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office (esp. Excel and Access), knowledge of VBA and SQL is an advantage
  • good analytical skills, logical approach to issue resolution, able to break down a problem into its component parts
  • time management skills and adherence to the agreed schedule
  • good communicational skills and willingness to learn new things
