In our Mobile Backend Services team, we are providing selected features for Commerzbank’s Mobile Banking application. Among others, these are:
The Mobile Services application supports Commerzbank's mobile apps, including Mobile Banking (private/business customers), Cash Management (corporate customers), and PhotoTAN (all customer groups). It provides platform services and features like app registration, consent management, profile settings, account alerts, branch finder, and more to enhance user experience.
The Mobile Push Notification Service delivers notifications to Android and iOS devices for private and corporate customers. Notifications cover customer-related events (e.g., credit card provisioning, security purchases, blocked accounts) and bank-related updates (e.g., new product launches or marketing communications).
Your tasks
- Assess the impact of production faults and communicate this to stakeholders – Incident Management.
- Work with the development team and PO to deliver regular releases whilst ensuring operational stability – Change Management.
- Contributing to the analysis of faults and errors, as an active contribution to the excellent operational stability of our applications.
- Developing technical architectural specifications in compliance with overarching architectural principles from infrastructural and operatable perspective to make the application more resilient, more stable and future orientated.
- Work with the development team to fix production issues.
- Prepare software builds and release packages and deploy them, i.e. participate in the preparation and implementation of changes to the given environment.
- Support the rollouts in production
- Provide consultation on planning of infrastructure and tooling.
- Design, implement and maintain CICD pipelines.
- Participate in a pool of operations engineers to provide on-call support of banking applications.
Your profile
Technical:
- Unix/Linux knowledge on the level of application operations;
- Experience with Azure or GCP
- Monitoring and logging experience, e.g. Dynatrace, Kibana;
- Scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.);
- IaC – Infrastructure as code – Helm, Kustomize;
- Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes;
- Familiarity with Java based frameworks, SQL/NOSQL databases, Kafka;
- CICD pipelines including experience in designing and implementing them;
- Process automation experience.
Other skills and experience:
- Analytical thinking with attention to detail to identify, isolate and solve problems;
- Responsibility and proactivity;
- Cross team communications;
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken as you will be in daily contact with native and non-native speakers.
