Your tasks
Our Structured Export & Trade Finance team offers clients of the Bank tailor-made financing solutions for exporting and importing goods, services and commodities particularly in emerging and developing countries across all continents secured by either government or private export credit insurance. In this context the team assists Commerzbank’s clients throughout the life-cycle of a transaction, that is, from first bid to structuring and execution of the financing.
During your internship, you will assist us in day-to-day operations with all tasks related to business origination, structuring, and transaction closure, while taking on responsibilities independently. Through direct insights into a variety of international transactions, you will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of the Structured Export & Trade Finance business, especially in terms of compliance, credit, ESG, and execution risks.
Your profile
- Student of Economics, Business Administration, or related qualifications – close to completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Strong knowledge and skills in business and macro-economic principles
- Proficient use of standard MS Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent knowledge of English & Italian; additional German language skills would be desirable
- Understanding of current macro trends and dynamics impacting Italian corporates
- Strong problem-solving skills, quick comprehension, and highly developed analytical thinking
- International experience and internships in the financial sector are advantageous
