Regular Test Automation Engineer (flexhub) (m/f/diverse)

    Your tasks

    • Analyzing application design and code to identify areas where automation can be applied;
    • Developing test cases, plans, scripts, data sets, or procedures based on business requirements;
    • Reporting results of automated tests to development teams so that defects can be addressed before production release;
    • Conducting post-release audits to ensure that software is functioning properly in a live environment;
    • Developing automation frameworks and reusable code libraries for future automation projects;
    • Coordinating with development teams to ensure that new features are thoroughly tested before deployment;
    • Documenting test plans, cases, results, and other test artifacts;
    • In collaboration with the Product Owner, developing a modern strategy for test automation and for handling test systems and test data;
    • Maintaining the test automation architecture and the test automation framework and significantly further develop it;
    • Ensuring the continuous improvement of our test methodology, environment, data, stages and quality gates;
    • Automating existing test cases and test runs with Test Automation frameworks e.g. Microfocus UFT;
    • Defining test frameworks for the software applications, developing scripts and functions for automating web applications;
    • Defining and implementing of load and performance test cases to ensure the robustness of our applications.

    Your profile

    • Strong practical and theoretical understanding of the best practices in software development lifecycle;
    • High knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (UFT, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Gherkin/Cucumber. Selenium, Tayco, JavaScript);
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
    • Good knowledge in test management processes and governance is a plus;
    • Fluency in English;
    • German skills would be considered as an advantage;
    • University degree in IT or relevant.
