Your tasks

We are seeking software engineer / developer with at least 5 years of experience in SQL, VBA, MS Access and a basic understanding of SAP systems to join our finance development team in Prague.
In the Delivery Organization of Group Finance, the Financial Instruments Cluster (GM-F FI) is responsible for the HGB and IFRS financial statements of the AG Inland.
We are responsible for the applications for financial and management reporting.
In this context, we are bringing together Group consolidation, accounting and controlling in terms of technology and processes and developing them further in an innovative and future-oriented manner.
In addition, we provide quality-assured individual business data for internal risk and external regulatory reporting. 

Your profile

What we expect from you: 

  • Solid knowledge and experience with SQL, VBA, MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Ability to coordinate infrastructure changes, e.g. MS SQL Server Upgrades.
  • Strong skills in performing complex error analyses.
  • Capability to implement technical adaptations and develop Smart Notes (LucaNet) as well as the in-house software FRESCO, within an architecture that includes SAP BCS on BW/4HANA.
  • Active participation in an agile, cross-functional team to design and develop both SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Analyze business requirements, discuss and propose possible solutions.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios.
  • Ability to work in international environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level is required; knowledge of German is an advantage.

We prefer candidates with:

  • A degree with a focus on economics or business informatics or comparable training or qualification.
  • Professional experience in a finance department of a bank and/or in an IT-related work environment or in an auditing firm.
  • Strong conceptual, process-oriented and analytical mindset .
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the IT environment and familiarity with common standards are an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP modules is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in UC4 development and implementation is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work in agile environment.
  • Team player.
