The Cluster SAP applications is part of Group Management Finance (GM-F). The Cluster is responsible for the functional and technical operation, further development, and architectural framework of SAP applications used in the GM-F environment. The Cluster oversees SAP modules (e.g. FI, CO, PPM, PS) for Finance processes as well as the SAP solutions for IFRS- Accounting (e.g. GL, BW, BO, BCS) with SAP Fioneer FPSL (Financial products subledger) as the core building block. The Cluster has a multi-location set up with teams in Frankfurt and Prague.
As a Chapter Lead within the SAP Applications cluster, you act as a line manager of the Business Experts in the chapter and play a key role in building and managing our team in Prague. You will report directly to Cluster Lead based in Frankfurt.
The Chapter will include up to 20 Business Experts in Prag, covering a broad range of skills including, but not limited to customizing SAP R/3 or S/4HANA for the modules FI and FPSL, Business Analysis with sound experience in Finance processes (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets or cost center accounting), reporting and IFRS-Accounting matters for financial products.
The Business Experts in the Chapter work in agile teams comprising Product Owner, Developers and Scrum Master. In the agile set up, the Business Experts will work largely autonomously, independently and self-organized and without the day-to-day guidance of the Chapter Lead.
In your role as Chapter Lead you are responsible for providing Business Experts to the agile teams of the Commerzbank Cluster Delivery Organization and liaising with the Product Owners to coordinate the personnel
Your tasks
- Leading and building a team of Business Experts located in Prague
- Taking responsibility for the recruiting and development of the team members
- Ensuring that future-ready professional and methodological training is provided in own area of responsibility; creating conditions for knowledge transfer; potentially willing to take on training projects, speaker functions and mentorships
- Active role model function for the agile methodology and a strong focus on customers and service
- Responsible for making available the necessary staff for the various cells, both in terms of quality and numbers, and ongoing coordination with the product owners regarding their personnel requirements and the material work processes
- Ensuring and optimizing productivity, efficiency and the quality of work within the Chapter
- Cooperate in cross-cluster management
- Support for young talents and their personal development
- Ensuring that team members in own area of responsibility always meet compliance requirements; strict compliance with regulatory training requirements; actively promoting awareness of compliance-related issues among the staff
- Alongside the manager function, you will also perform the professional tasks associated with the functions of Business expert
Your profile
We prefer candidates with:
- Ability to organize, coordinate and steer professional activities, considering commercial, efficiency and quality aspects; taking initiative in the steering of cross-functional activities
- Knack for design and management of the ongoing development of several new and innovative products / processes to initiate, implement and optimize future-ready digital structures
- Skill for early recognition of impending problems; gaining an understanding of overall context and consequences above and beyond the urgent problem; development of new and innovative problem-solving approaches.
- Development of short to medium-term strategies, including forecasting of necessary resources
- Proven leadership and team management experience with SAP developers or business analysts
- Collaboration, change management and team-building experience
- Strong knowledge of application integration and deployment
- A solid background in SAP based environments ideally in the Financial Service Industry
- Agile Software Development/Scrum experience
