We are looking for a skilled developer to join our team at Commerzbank AG’s Prague branch. Our team is responsible for supporting the Core Banking System (CBS) used across Commerzbank AG’s international branches. As a new team member, you’ll receive training and take part in projects focused on infrastructure and release management, technical design, and software development.
Your tasks
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Core Banking System (CBS)
- Design and develop interfaces and applications to enhance and support CBS functionality
- Collaborate with IT business analysts to translate business requirements into functional documentation
- Assist in transforming functional documents into detailed technical specifications for CBS software development
- Work closely with offshore software development partners on development projects
- Perform quality control and code reviews for deliverables provided by offshore development teams
- Configure and maintain an integrated test platform
- Execute software testing and ensure quality assurance standards are met
- Provide technical support and guidance during software release processes
- Create and maintain documentation of technical information and resolution processes in knowledgebase articles
Your profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional development experience.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET programming.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases.
- Familiarity with Visual Basic, Windows Forms, and WPF.
- Basic understanding of IBM MQ or other messaging software.
- Basic knowledge of PL/SQL (preferred).
- Foundational experience in software testing.
- Ability to write functional and technical specifications.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity).
- Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) software design principles.
- Experience with projects involving infrastructure, release management, or technical design is advantageous.
- Experience working in the Banking or Financial industry is advantageous.
