Welcome to the team: Junior Mainframe Hardware System Engineer (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks
As a system engineer, you are responsible for operations and maintenance, 3rd-level support and fault isolation, but also for the design, planning, configuration and implementation of components of the bank's central mainframe environment. These include:
- mainframe hardware (servers and storage),
- the z/OS operating system,
- security and encryption, network,
- databases (DB2),
- middleware (IMS, MQSeries, WebSphere Application Server),
- and many system-related add-on software products.
Your profile
- Good knowledge with z/OS operating system, mainframe system software in general including add-on-software and tools. Skilled in installation, configuration, maintenance and operation;
- Good knowledge with Networking, TCP/IP and security;
- Good knowledge with System Automation (SA);
- Knowledge in Mainframe high availability concepts (Parallel Sysplex) as well as disaster recovery features, functions and procedures and Mainframe security concepts, and RACF;
- Experience with Unix System Services (USS) and zFS;
- Experience with Central mainframe structures such as data sharing, parallel sysplex, D/R prevention;
- Very good communication and collaboration skills;
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
- University degree in IT or relevant.
