Welcome to the team: Application Operations Engineer (Middleware & Environments) (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Doing operation support for Informatica ETL tools and Axway API Gateway;
- Monitoring and controling the stability of the environment;
- Monitoring the operating status with standard (Dynatrace, Kibana) and customer specific tools;
- Starting of stabilization actions in case of incidents. Participating in problem and error analysis and their solutions;
- Understanding the supported business applications and their requirements;
- Performing system and operational checks to retrieve the operational status of the applications;
- Analyzing and executing changes. Close cooperation with Commerzbank's infrastructure units is required to implement these changes (network, firewall, Unix (Solaris, Linux), storage and DMZ);
- Performing deployments;
- Ensuring that the operating documentation is complete and up to date for the applications assigned to it;
- Covering on-call duties when needed;
- Working in an Agile team setup.
Your profile
- Strong experience with different operating systems (scripting, commands etc.). Linux Scripting would be considered as an advantage;
- Experience with DWH Technologies and ETL Tools and /or Informatica.
- Familiar with Axway API Gateway would be a strong advantage;
- Solid experience in using databases (e.g.: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Casandra, SQL (DDL, DML);
- Familiar with Automic Automation (UC4);
- Fluency in English;
- University degree in IT or relevant.

The Middleware & Environments cluster is responsible for providing middleware and integration solutions as core components of our banking applications. Our cross-platform development, testing and operational teams provide support to the other clusters in their application daily work and lifecycle. We use a wide range of middleware and integration solutions such as Informatica, ETL, Axway API GW, Apache Camel, IBM MQ, Apache Kafka and more, servicing and connecting multiple diverse divsions and clients.
