Welcome to the team: Technical Business Analyst (Kafka) (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Understanding and analyzing business requirements, defining and designing appropriate functional solutions;
- Conducting analysis and designing technical and functional solutions;
- Implementating new functions, modules or interfaces of applications;
- Consulting business as well as IT experts on functional concepts of the application and on business process optimization;
- Defining functional test scenarios as well as quality assurance measures and supporting and coordinating test-activities;
- In case of incidents or issues, analysing and designing solutions of the problems in close collaboration witth other involved teams
- Being one of the experts within the scrum team for the functional and business analysis aspects for the new Kafka products and applications (design, build and run);
- Working in an Agile team setup.
Your profile
- Understanding and analyzing business requirements. Gathering and documentation of business requirements and design;
- Being able to understand and advise business as well as IT regarding best technical / functional solution or set-up of the application;
- Understanding of IT concepts, most preferable already some know-how / experience in API;
- High interest and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new requirements and gather the needed technical understanding;
- Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking as well as structured and methodical work;
- University degree in IT or relevant.

Business Connectivity cluster accelerates the transformation of Commerzbank into a digital technology company by developing and promoting internal and external APIs, Kafka technology, DLT that are an integral part of our digital infrastructure, positioning Commerzbank in the German market as the first port of call for simple and innovative customer solutions. We built up a team for providing (Apache) Kafka as a platform in the bank. This enables us to facilitate event streaming use cases and increase the bank’s realtime capability.
