Architect / Tech Lead (m/f/diverse)

As an Architect and Tech Lead, it will be your job to analyse the technical needs of the project in cooperation with Business Analysts, and design the necessary infrastructure, incorporating all the latest technologies and practices. As the team grows, you will play a key role in the team building the platform and in delivering features for our customer. 

You will be the right-hand of the Product Owner, helping them to understand the technical implications of often complicated requirements, additional technologies and skills required to realise them. You will play a key role in presenting these to the engineering team and work with them to design technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a rich technical background in multiple web-based technologies having worked on a variety of projects presenting diverse technical challenges. They will also be highly creative with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

We are not looking for someone who necessarily always has the best ideas, but rather a compassionate leader who can work with the team to come up with the best ideas together.

At Commerzbank, we have just embarked on an ambitious project to rewrite the entire platform upon which our mobile and online banking services are built. As one of the leading banks in Europe, a new technology platform is needed to keep ahead of the competition as our millions of customers demand more features and more data delivered in real-time to their fingertips. For this massive and highly complex project of critical importance, we are looking for top class people to deliver Europe’s best banking experience.

To deliver this new project, we are building a new team here in Prague, starting with a core group of Business Analysts and Architects to lay the foundations of the project. Over the course of 2026, the team will grow to include frontend and backend developers working on core infrastructure and delivering key features.
