Welcome to the team: Senior Application Operations Engineer (Accounts & Deposits) (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Analyzing and resolve complex issues across applications and infrastructure layers.
- Managing and coordinate deployments and changes in Pre-Production and Production environments.
- Maintaining and enhance monitoring and alerting for business-critical applications.
- Leveraging modern observability tools and introduce AI-driven features to improve incident detection and resolution.
- Building and share expertise in supported applications and participate in the implementation of new functionalities.
- Enhancing the implementation and architecture of solutions to ensure they are resilient, scalable, and operationally stable.
- Supporting and gradually take ownership of OpenShift platform-related tasks (e.g., Helm chart deployments, container lifecycle).
- Optimizing and extend Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in collaboration with development teams.
- Following ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management) while adhering to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Gaining a deep understanding of Commerzbank’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) mechanisms and security controls
Your profile
- Solid experience in Application Operations, DevOps, or Production Support roles.
- Strong analytical mindset and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL and relational database management systems
- Extensive experience in working with and troubleshooting RESTful APIs, with a strong understanding of HTTP protocols and methods.
- Basic hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
- Basic understanding of Linux-based systems and scripting (Bash or similar).
- Understanding of ITIL processes; certifications are a plus.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow into a DevOps-focused role.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international team.
- Proficiency in English
