Welcome to the team: Data Governance Engineer (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks
- Defining, building and maintaining the analytical environment of the Data Governance team in the GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
- Setup of PostgreSQL database, application runtime, firewall, dashboarding and reporting tools such as Qlik, with ETL connection to vendor-specific software for data catalog. Define and set up REST API access to the environment.
- Development in SQL and Python to support metadata and KPI analytics
- Defining test scenarios as well as quality assurance measures. In that context you will be also supporting and coordinating test activities.
- Analyzing and designing solutions to the problems in close collaboration with other teams involved
The team itself consists of business experts, software engineers, scrum master and other specialists with diverse backgrounds, but on common feature: jointly and dynamically developing the best solutions for the bank.
Your profile
- Ability to architect and build analytical environments, proficiency in database technologies like PostgreSQL and ETL, Understanding of core Python concepts and libraries
- Experience with cloud services (GCP) and infrastructure (Terraform), extended Docker knowledge
- Familiarity with API development / API concepts
- Knowledge about monitoring systems
- Degree in computer science or a comparable education or qualification.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking as well as structured and methodical work
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- A proactive and self-driven attitude with a passion for continuous learning.
- Open for business travel to Germany to attend team wide workshops

Big Data & Advanced Analytics (GS-BDAA) creates value from Commerzbank's data. Large amounts of data are intelligently linked together, and internal processes are optimized and automated. Agile teams in Frankfurt and at three international locations develop new data-based products for our bank customers. For this purpose, the latest technologies and working methods as well as mathematical models are used. Become part of the interdisciplinary team of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) Office. There, we support the data teams and all areas of the bank by further developing the bank's data governance, data catalog and data quality management to better utilize data and comply with regulatory requirements (especially BCBS 239). We are also data-driven and building our analytical environment for metadata and governance data.
