Welcome to the team: Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer – Campus Network (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Implementing and operating wired and wireless networks in branch and campus environments remotely.
- Handling and solving Service Requests, Incidents, Changes and Problems.
- Further development of network environments with a strong focus on solution quality, stability and resiliency.
- Being responsible for continuous improvement of operational processes and documentation.
- Actively participating and coordinating various network and network security projects.
- Close cooperation and collaboration with support units, network architecture and internal departments as well as external partners and suppliers.
Your profile
- Previous experience in planning, implementing and operating enterprise-grade Local Area Networks, Wireless Networks and SD-WAN Solutions.
- Strong knowledge on various network vendors such as Arista, Cisco, HPE Aruba and Juniper.
- Knowledge in Software Defined technologies like SD-WAN, SD-Access, etc;
- Experience with Macro and Micro-Segmentation are an advantage.
- Extensive familiarity with network protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, static and dynamic routing, switching and Network Access Control.
- Proven experience of Infrastructure as Code and Network Automation principles and practices with a focus on Ansible, Terraform and additionally general Linux knowledge.
- Experience with network security solutions (e.g. NGFW, SASE) from Fortinet or Palo Alto would be considered an advantage.
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken.
- University degree in IT or relevant.
