Welcome to the team: Test Automation Engineer (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
We are looking for an experienced test engineer with a good knowledge of processes and tools for automated testing in the React area to join the front-end GUI development team, responsible for Commerzbank’s Foreign Exchange Single Dealer Platform. The team is split between Frankfurt and Sofia and collaborating with the teams in London.
As a Test Engineer, you will be working with the multi-location-based team to develop and enhance the React Front-end GUI, in particular to implement automated integration and E2E tests using state-of-the-art tools like JEST and Microsoft Playwright. You will be responsible for coordinating the development of the testing strategy, processes and frameworks in the project.
- Working on the testing strategy of the FX Live Trader Web GUI and related frontends, defining the testing methods used, testing processes and conventions in the team.
- Developing automated tests for user interface components written in Typescript using the React workflows and tools like JEST, Microsoft Playwright, Storybook, Teamcity
- Participate in ensuring that these components and the overall application is robust and easy to maintain (conduct quality control)
- Consult and support the team in implementing the above testing strategy
- Coordinate, execute and document the test process for the application releases.
- You will be part of bigger QA team, collaborating with other test engineers and contributing to the overall testing strategy in the cluster.
Your profile
- Strong Typescript and React developer skills
- Extensive experience with the relevant testing frameworks and tools, in particular JEST, Microsoft Playwright
- Extensive experience with JIRA/Confluence;
- Strong SQL skills, knowledge of UNIX command language;
- Being able to identify issues, assess their impact and pro-actively develop and recommend solutions;
- Experience in Test Automation Framework construction;
- Being able to fill gaps in functional and technical specifications;
- Team player with good interpersonal and communications skills;
- Attentive to detail with strong analytical skills;
- Proactive and structured mode of operation, supporting projects and driving tasks to deliver results;
- Fluency in English - both written and spoken;
