We are looking for a new trainee to strengthen our growing Counterparty Risk team. You will be responsible for safeguarding the bank’s capital and enable profitable client business. You ensure a correct processing and reporting of Counterparty Risk relevant data and exposures.
In Commerzbank Counterparty Risk Cluster provides efficient derivatives and financing business counterparty risk management. We utilize modern agile working methods to maximize our output to the costumer business. Our larger team is split into two sub teams one in Frankfurt and one in Prague, which collaborate together to develop applications used by the entire bank.
Your tasks
- Determine, specify and test system improvements
- Specification of enhancements for the existing system that collects feeds from a variety of FO trading systems and provides high-quality, timely risk data to our Counterparty Risk downstream. This task requires cross-border collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders. An initial knowledge of financial derivatives is a prerequisite for successful mastering this task.
- Close collaboration with our IT colleagues – you will serve as a bridge between IT and our customers/downstream in the Counterparty Risk.
- Implementing enhancements using agile methodology. During user acceptance testing, conducting regression tests is crucial to understand the impact on our systems and ensure it remains within an acceptable range.
- Producing high-quality documentation for use by our colleagues in the Counterparty Risk Cluster.
- Assist in streamlining existing processes within our cell.
- Promote knowledge sharing across the team.
- Data feed analysis and quality assurance
- Conduct plausibility/sanity checks on data delivered from FO trading systems and support colleagues from our downstream systems.
- Proactive collaboration with IT on identifying root causes of reported issues.
Your profile
Technical
- MS Office
- SQL
- Knowledge of agile work principles using JIRA is an advantage but not necessary
Personal
- Ideally university degree in Financial engineering / related field of study or student of last semester on university.
- Knowledge and interest in financial derivatives.
- Basic knowledge of Banking regulations would be an advantage.
- Conceptual approach, good coordination and organizational skills proven strong analytical skillset.
- Very good communication skills in English, German would be considered as advantage.
- Interest in new technologies and desire to help shape the digital future of Commerzbank AG.
