Welcome to the team: Network Engineer (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level network/firewall support;
- Handling Incidents, Change Requests, Service Requests and Problems in production network environment;
- Supporting various network projects;
- Communicating with different internal departments as well as external companies and vendors;
- Contributing as an effective team player in an agile team;
- Be open to travel to Germany few times per year;
- Actively participating in Scrum and KanBan ceremonies such as Daily, Planning, Review, Retro.
Your profile
- Network knowledge with a minimum of 3-5 years experiences.
- Skills in most of the following topics:
- network protocols – MPLS, BGP, OSPF, multicast
- layer-2 network technologies
- DNS / DHCP
- network management technologies like SNMP, SYSLOG, IP SLA, NetFlow
- Experience and product know-how with Fortinet products like FortiProxy and FortiGate
- Experience and product know-how with Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus series
- Experience and product know-how with Citrix ADC/NetScaler
- Experience with Check Point and Endpoint Security
- Experience with Wi-Fi solutions
- Experience with Aruba ClearPass
- Experience with Windows PKI (certificate management)
- Experience with IT-Monitoring Tools like OpManager, PRTG, CheckMK
- Experience with Cloud networking
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Prior working experience with Azure DevOps, building and maintaining pipelines
- Proactive mindset
- Processual experience along the ITIL / COBIT frameworks
- The willing of continuous improvement of IT-Processes and IT-Services
- Fluency in English
- German skills will be considered as significant advantage
The skills that will be considered as an advantage:
- Network automation skills with Ansible, Terraform, python git et. al.
- Ownership of different certificates e.g. Cisco, Fortinet
