Your tasks
- Work with diverse, encouraging international teams in a dynamic, agile setting that encourages your opinions and new ideas;
- Work together with professionals to modernize and enhance governance and risk management procedures;
- Assess potential risks that could impact an organization's reputation, safety, security, and financial stability and develop a contingency plan to resolve it;
- Gain insight into governance, risk management, and strategy development for corporate client IT solutions;
- Present your findings to senior management, providing clear action steps to enhance security and strengthen their overall position;
- Be considered for full-time employment after successfully completing the program.
Your profile
- Keen to learn how Risk Management is carried out on a day-to-day basis in international banking services;
- Eager to learn about the different types of security tests essential for managing IT risk and how they are performed, integrated and managed;
- A whiz with Microsoft 365 Suite and can make MS Teams, OneDrive for Business work for you like magic;
- A natural problem-solver with the ability to break down, structure and present complex issues to senior management;
- A goal-oriented person who takes pride in meeting high standards;
- Great at prioritizing tasks and can still crack a joke under pressure;
- Someone who can articulate thoughts clearly and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams;
- Fluent in English;
- Highly motivated to learn new things and shape your future career in IT;
- Currently a bachelor’s or master’s student in a STEM or Business Management (or relevant) major;
- Bonus points: If you are comfortable with operating systems, basic computer networking and cloud computing, we’ll be super impressed!

Commerzbank is a leading international commercial bank with branches and offices in almost 50 countries. We are looking for an intern to join our CIO Corporate Clients Office / Strategy & Governance team where you will be helping us to provide IT infrastructure for investment banking, Payment Transactions and Trade Finance banking solutions for Corporate Clients.
The unit of the Chief Information Officer for Corporate Clients is responsible "end-to-end" for all processes relating to the IT of our corporate customer products – digital and agile, in an international and dynamic environment. It currently consists of 8 thematic clusters with units in more than 10 locations worldwide. Various thematic strands converge in the staff. This includes the development and implementation of the corporate client strategy in cooperation with the corporate client segment, the financial management of the division-wide budget and the monitoring and coordination of governance and risk issues.
