Loan portfolio manager (m/f/diverse)

Main purpose of the role

Junior member of the Corporate Lending team for the International Corporate loan book.

Active management and steering of assigned segment of CC Lending Loan Portfolio to achieve financial targets through pricing of of new loan business, identification of distribution strategies, on-going surveillance of portfolio for emerging risks and remediation of unwanted positions.

Key activities

• Assess new lending transactions to determine appropriate pricing to support clients’ profitability.
• Act as centre of competency to Relationship Managers / Originators on credit structures, capital efficiency and risk-return aspects.
• Identify distribution strategies to optimise portfolio return profile (CDS, insurance, sale and securitisation).
• Monitor assigned portfolio segment and recommend remediation actions on weak credits, if necessary/possible
• Develop expertise on assigned sectors and distribute analysis across CC Lending.
• Understand regulatory, operational and compliance considerations related to the corporate loan portfolio.
• Pro-actively initiate measures to minimise capital consumption and to ensure data quality.
• Analyse secondary loan investment opportunities.
• Actively contribute to booking efficiency measures in close collaboration with other departments.
• Complete other assigned tasks, including project related work.

Key requirements 

General:

• Understanding of credit risks with specific knowledge of corporate loan market.
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills
• Experience in credit portfolio management, regulatory and accounting topics

Education/Certifications:

• University degree

Work Experience:

• Sufficient work experience in Credit Portfolio Management, Risk Management or comparable areas.
